Edgar M. Purvis was appointed as a Director of Enviri Corporation in February 2018.
Mr. Purvis previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Emerson Electric Co. (“Emerson”) from January 2015 until his retirement in November 2017. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President in the Emerson Climate Technologies division until 2015 when he became Emerson’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to working for Emerson, Mr. Purvis served in a number of senior management positions with Copeland Corporation from 1983 until it was acquired by Emerson in 1986. Mr. Purvis is a former member of the executive board of the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, and a master’s degree in business administration from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
