Admilson Mendes, who has worked for 11 years as an Operations Finance Assistant at Harsco Environmental has led his son, who is also now an employee at the division, to follow in his footsteps. The pair are examples of what it means to be a leader and embody the Harsco values of integrity, passion for winning, employee care, satisfying the customer, inclusion, and respect.
Victor Emanuel who has worked at Harsco since June 2022 as an Operations Finance Assistant expresses how working for Harsco has helped the pair to grow their father-son relationship. “My father has always been an example to me. In my family, I am the only boy and since I was a little child, I aim to be like him. Nowadays, I believe that I´m getting even closer to being able of giving back what he has done for me in the past 18 years."
Emanuel continues, "He is the same person to our family and to colleagues at Harsco and I have the pleasure of seeing the decent, responsible person that he is every day and - above all - good at his job. I could keep listing his qualities for hours. For me, he is an inspiration in life, and nothing would be enough to describe how much I admire him! Thanks, Dad, for being and doing everything for me!”
The father and son were recently able to bond both personally and professionally during the recent Father’s Day celebration in Brazil. Mendes says, “I’m really grateful for working all these years for Harsco and also for the work opportunity that was given to my son.”
